Selank nasal spray for anxiety — subtle but real

Tried Selank nasal spray (300mcg, 2-3x daily) for general anxiety. I'm skeptical of nootropics generally but this one surprised me. Not a dramatic effect like a benzo — more like the background noise of anxiety just turns down a notch. Meetings that would normally spike my heart rate feel more manageable. Still feel emotions normally, just less reactive. Been using it for about 3 weeks. No side effects I've noticed. Anyone have experience with longer-term use? And is there a tolerance issue?

Selank is a synthetic analog of the immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin, and it modulates GABA and serotonin systems without the sedation or dependence profile of benzodiazepines. The Russian research (it's been used clinically in Russia for years) suggests it doesn't build tolerance the same way traditional anxiolytics do, though long-term Western clinical data is limited. The "subtle but real" description matches most anecdotal reports. It's anxiolytic without being anxiolytic-feeling, if that makes sense. Some people stack it with Semax for a cognition + calm combo, though I'd recommend using them separately first to understand individual effects.

Used it for about 2 months during a stressful period at work. Agree with the subtle description — it's not going to replace therapy or SSRIs for serious anxiety, but for situational stress it took the edge off. No tolerance that I noticed. I cycled 3 weeks on, 1 week off just to be safe. Stopped without any rebound anxiety.
